Claire Donohoe (ESR 6) participated in Ecola Molecular, a programme run by PhD students in the department of chemistry in Coimbra in February and March 2019. The PhD students worked with 34 high school students, supervising and demonstrating some basic chemistry experiements depending on the theme of the week (solubility, atomic structure…). It was an opportunity for the high school students to expand their chemistry knowledge, while discussing the possibility of studying chemistry in the future at university.
